Twitch streamer, DuvalKingJacob, of TheEmpatheatre, was making a Twitch show where he would be playing video games from his past and giving the audience a peak into his origins as a gamer. As one of the games he was planning to replay on the show was a Mario themed game, I decided to turn Jacob into an 8-bit pixeled "Mario" and used that for the heft of the opening sequence. They asked for Dark Teal coloring, and "lightning". The logo I created used a classic pixel font with "Duval's" being written in my own handwriting. I went with motion overlays to give the client their "lightning" effect.
